Meet The Founder
Rishita Sharma
Ecoprenuer, Nature Lover, BYOC champ
Founder and chief visionary, Rishita is the driving force behind Green Utsav and Rent A Cutlery. An IT professional turned Sustainable Lifestyle Practitioner, she brings passion and purpose into every project she leads.
Rishita holds a Master’s in CSR and Sustainability from IICSR and is also certified in Business Sustainability Management from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Her unique blend of technical expertise and sustainability leadership enables her to design impactful, eco-friendly solutions for individuals, corporates, and communities.
She has organized over 500 trash-free and sustainable events, launched the #BYOCselfie campaign, and partnered with leading organizations to drive corporate sustainability. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Rishita is deeply committed to nurturing a greener planet—training young ambassadors, reducing waste, and inspiring others to embrace sustainable living.
Her vision is simple yet powerful: to make sustainability a way of life for everyone.
In her own journey, she stays rooted in balance—through meditation, mindful walks, composting, and quiet evenings under the moon and stars—gentle practices that remind her of the harmony she hopes to share with the world.

I chanced upon Green Utsav when I was looking for eco-friendly options for my daughter’s birthday celebration. Our ideas and principles aligned and off we started planning for a great party. Green Utsav, Meena and her quiet but brilliant son gave us the perfect decoration, perfect ambience, experience that was just warm, beautiful, sustainable and eco-friendly and my children and their friends had lots of fun! No plastic, no balloons, no confetti, no single use materials. All the decorations were paper and natural materials based and the best party was they are all reusable so nothing ended up in trash other than a handful of paper tapes that were used to stick the decorations. The activities included pottery and tattoos. Return gifts were steel straws and a personalised thermos steel water bottle and really yum home baker’s chocolate brownies. A special mention of Meena is imperative- she is very talented and was very warm, helpful, supportive and ensured we had a very stress-free experience the whole time. The workshop was conducted on Sunday Sept 17, at 10 AM. It was attended by kids and many Parents. Everyone enjoyed the whole process thoroughly. All proudly showcased they Ganesha's after the workshop.
